Violet's POV
“Vale,” I called his name slowly as he pushed my head away from him.
He cocked his head to the left studying me.
“Do I know you?”.
He can't be serious right? Less than twenty-four hours and he already forgot about me
“I erm, I.” I stuttered, searching for words.
I felt so embarrassed losing my words in front of him, why did I suddenly get tongue-tied?.
“I'm Violet, you helped me yesterday from Aiden and Jemma, remember?”
He still looked like he didn't remember, Aiden also acted like he had never seen me before yesterday.
Maybe it was a sibling thing between them
“I'm also your stepsister, but I didn't meet you in the house.” Gosh, I was sounding so stupid saying it.
Generally, I am not a yapper, but I just lost control standing in front of him right now.
“Are you always this lousy.?” He cut me off.
“Excuse me” I was lost.
“All I'm trying to do is thank you for helping me yesterday.”
“You don't have to thank me, and I didn't save you, I just hate when Aiden is the one doing the torture instead of me.”
I blinked rapidly, he can't be serious, Does he mean to say he's going to torture me?.
“I assume your mother is the new mate, let's see how long she's going to last with Kanan.” He said pushing past my shoulders roughly.
“Violet, is it?” He called my name. Although I was so upset, it sounded so good coming from him.
“For your good, keep your identity a secret, or you won't have just Aiden to deal with.”
Okay, that was two threats in one day, and from the very guys I was supposed to have a family bonding with.
Did Kanan have other mates before Daphne? What is going on?.
A woman came outside.
“Miss Violet, the admin will see you now.”
Vale was already gone, he vanished into thin air. Whatever, I didn't want to relate to either of them as well.
I only thought Vale was the friendly one which was why I talked to him.
They were both bullies and arrogant and everything I hate in boys, dangerously handsome.
I entered the office. An old man was sitting behind the desk.
“You have a complaint, Miss Delacroix.”
I cringed from being called that name.
“Exactly why I am here Sir, there was a mistake with the registration, my name is Violet Barlow, not Delacroix.”
He looked at his computer.
“Your parents registered you as Delacroix, something you should be proud of, you know who he is right?”
I balled my fists, this was getting pissy.
“He's my stepdad, not my biological dad, I've been using Barlow for a while now, and I don't intend to change it.”
He raised a finger.
“Give me one minute, let me contact them.”
I folded my arms, now I have to get permission to change my name.
I could hear Daphne's voice through the admis phone, she was arguing.
If only I could talk to her, this is outrageous.
Her voice suddenly settled.
The admin came back to his seat.
“There will be an immediate change of your name, you can go to class now, Miss Barlow.”
I smiled appreciatively at him, Whatever made Daphne change her mind, I am grateful for it.
I left the office to attend my first class, it was hard finding it without the map guide or Reva.
I finally saw the class and I entered, The teacher was already teaching.
All eyes were on me as I stood at the entrance, and the teacher stopped talking.
“You are?”
“Violet Barlow, new student.”
“Okay, I'm Mr Jordan.”
I ignored the murmurs that flooded the class, I spotted Reva, she was sitting in front and she smiled at me.
I smiled back.
“Well Miss Violet, i do not tolerate lateness to my class, I'm letting this slide because you are new, go sit in front of Mr Delacroix.” he pointed straight.
I followed his hands, my heart skipped a beat when I saw Aiden sitting comfortably, chatting with Jeremy.
“Is it okay for me to just sit right here?” I pointed at the vacant chair beside Reva.
Mr Jordan gave me one look, and I walked straight to the empty seat in front of Aiden.
“Hi again,” Jeremy said sweetly.
I nodded at him, There was no point in getting friendly with Jemma's brother.
Aiden was quiet, his eyes seemed to bite holes through my back.
He was looking more dashing than the last time I saw him, must his hair always remain tousled?
It keeps sending nasty images into my mind, ones I could barely shake off sometimes.
I breathed out.
‘Relax Violet, he's just a guy, you've seen lots of handsome guys before.’
Something hit my chair, and it made a screech on the ground.
I turned back and was nose to nose with Aiden. I turned my face away quickly.
He was close to my back now, his soothing breath caressing my neck.
“Are you stalking me?” He breezed in my ear.
“It's a classroom dummy, I wouldn't call it stalking, besides you aren't all that for me to stalk.” I said just to put him in place, he was good looking I admit, not enough for me to stalk.
“Then why didn't you refuse to sit in front of me?”
“I didn't have a choice, believe me, I don't want to sit around you either.”
I felt his hand grab a handful of my hair.
“I warned you not to cross my path right?”.
I wanted to alert Mr Jordan, but his back was turned to me.
Every other person in the class was either listening to Mr Jordan or occupied in whatever interested them.
“I warn you to let go of my hair.” I mustered enough courage in my voice.
“You sounded more confident when you thought I was just a gardener.” He whispered.
Jeremy was smiling oddly at us, This school was just filled with stupid people.
“I won't tell you a second time, let go of my hair,” I warned more seriously.
“What are you going to do about it?”
A bright light flashed across my eyes.
It was one of Jemma's followers, the tall slender girl hyping Jemma.
She just took a picture of me with Aiden's hand wrapped around my hair.
Damn, her plan was definitely to show it to Jemma.
I reached out to the back of Aiden's wrist and clawed at it sharply.
“Owww.” He shouted, letting go of my hair at once.
It was the only thing I could do since my wolf refused to develop more than that, and I was extremely good at sinking it into things.
“Miss Violet, Mr Delacroix, to the principal's office.”
